The Nur Ashki Jerrahi Sufi Order is a community of dervishes within the Halveti-Jerrahi Tariqat, in the specific lineage and spirit of Shaykh Muzaffer Ashki al-Jerrahi, Shaykh Nur al-Jerrahi, and Shaykha Fariha al-Jerrahi. We are based at Dergah al-Farah in NYC, with various circles throughout the U.S. and Mexico. We joyfully welcome seekers and students of all religious and non-religious paths into our gatherings.

Islam is like clear water poured into different vessels. It takes the color and shape of each vessel.

Dare, O human being, to awaken! Harmonize your song; intensify your commitment. Consult your heart and your heart alone. Expose yourself to loving; seek the protection of Love. To arrive at true being, come past the curtain waving in front of the Divine Light, which is your own light.

Love, intimacy, and constant remembrance are the glorious way. Essentially, love, love, and more love.

Shaykha Fariha al Jerrahi

God does not fit anywhere but the human heart. The heart is the locus of remembrance of God.
